Spokane therapist mental health, anxiety, depression, trauma therapist, sunlit therapeutic services

Katie Ramos, MS, LMHC

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Katie and I’m excited that you’re interested in seeking therapy services. I am a partner at Sunlit Therapeutic Services with over ten years of experience working in the mental health field. Thank you for considering me as a support on your journey toward healing and growth. I am a licensed therapist offering a warm and welcoming space for individuals who are looking to explore and understand themselves.

I provide a sex-positive, inclusive environment where I respect and honor the diverse ways in which people identify, express, and experience themselves. Whether you’re exploring your gender identity, navigating relationships (monogamous or polyamorous), or seeking acceptance and validation as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am here to listen without judgment and provide support.

I specialize in working with adults who have lived through traumatic experiences and who are now facing the daily impacts of these events. This includes those who have gone through a specific traumatic event or many over the course of their lives. In therapy, I help them process and navigate their experiences in order to restore a sense of control over their life.

Additionally, I understand that living with a chronic illness can present unique emotional and psychological challenges. I support individuals in managing the emotional toll that chronic illness can have, offering coping strategies, emotional resilience, and a space for processing these experiences.

As a therapist trained in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Inference-CBT (ICBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I offer a range of modalities to best meet your unique needs. While I primarily use EMDR and ICBT in my practice, I am committed to working collaboratively with you to identify the therapeutic approach that works best for you. Every individual’s experience is different, and I believe therapy should be tailored to fit your personal goals and healing process.

I am committed to creating a safe and meaningful therapeutic relationship that allows you the space to navigate your healing journey. I offer both in-person sessions in Spokane, WA, as well as Telehealth services for clients throughout Washington State. If you’re ready to begin, or just want to explore whether we’re a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I forward to connecting with you.

Kayla Levine, MPA, MSW, LICSW

Hi there! I’m Kayla Levine, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and partner at Sunlit Therapeutic Services, PLLC. With nearly a decade of experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults through some of life’s most challenging and transformative moments. Whether you're navigating the joys and challenges of new parenthood, feeling weighed down by anxiety or depression, or simply trying to find your way through a major life transition, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you.

I also work with individuals living with the lingering impact of trauma and PTSD — including those who’ve experienced emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. Living with the aftereffects of trauma can feel heavy, confusing, and deeply isolating. You might carry memories that are hard to talk about, or feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Whatever your story, you deserve a safe, supportive space to begin healing.

As a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist, I offer a gentle, evidence-based approach to help you process painful experiences at your own pace. EMDR can be a powerful tool for easing the emotional charge of trauma, helping you reconnect with a sense of peace, strength, and wholeness.

Healing isn’t about forgetting — it’s about finding freedom. And it’s absolutely possible.

My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a warm, safe, and supportive space — a place where you can show up just as you are. I believe that healing happens in relationship, and that together, we can build the skills, insight, and self-understanding you need to move forward.

Above all, I trust that you are the expert of your own life. My role is to help you reconnect with your inner strengths, resilience, and wisdom. I bring empathy, curiosity, and collaboration into every session, and I work from a foundation of self-compassion and respect for your unique journey.

In our work together, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to support your growth and healing. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). These modalities offer practical tools for navigating difficult emotions, managing intrusive thoughts, and staying grounded in your values — even during life’s most challenging moments. We’ll tailor our approach to fit your needs, so that therapy feels meaningful, empowering, and relevant to you.

I know how overwhelming it can feel when life presents unexpected challenges, or when healing feels just out of reach. Taking the first step toward therapy is brave — and it’s okay if you’re not sure where to begin. We’ll move at your pace, exploring what’s holding you back and gently working toward the changes that can bring you more peace, clarity, and fulfillment.

If you're ready to begin this journey — or even just considering what healing might look like — I invite you to reach out. I'm here to support you every step of the way, as you move toward the life you want to lead.
